The Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel (www.kempinski.com), a five star hotel, the first of its kind in Accra, Ghana.  The Hotel is set to be the centerpiece of a public-private partnership project with integrated mixed-use hospitality facility that covers and area of 35 acres. The property includes residential apartments, retail space, an exhibition center, offices and government buildings.

The design of the Hotel is centered around a central courtyard that ties the interior to the exterior landscape.

Fountain Source worked with MESA Design Group to assist with their mandate to create a crisp modern look with a clean contemporary design by using natural stone and wood elements.  Part of the this vision included a state of the art swimming pool, spa and three unique and compelling water features.

The entry and motor court features a central elliptical water feature with arching color changing laminar streams that creates a warm mesmerizing atmosphere for the arriving guests.

The design of the rim-flow pool includes a long negative edge that spills water onto a 27 foot high water wall that feeds to the lower courtyard water feature.

The forya water feature is elegant stone-clad water table that develops a mirror-smooth surface that spills over all sides and is recovered to a acoustic recovery chamber below the finished floor.
